How long is a typical lesson?

Most lessons are 1-1.5 hours. And we promise you will enjoy every minute!

How many times per week do students typically meet with you?

Most students meet 1-2 times per week. Sometimes more as we get closer to midterms, final examinations, or ACT/SAT test day.

What should I do if I need to cancel a lesson?

If you need to cancel a lesson, please text or e-mail Dexter more than 24 hours in advance of the start time of your scheduled lesson. Only text or e-mail in order to ensure your cancellation request is received. See the Contact Us page for Dexter's contact information.

Is there a penalty for canceling a lesson?

There is no penalty for canceling a lesson if your request is received more than 24 hours in advance of the start time of your lesson. Any cancellation requests within 24 hours of your scheduled lesson will be subject to a fee up to our full standard hourly rate, $200. View our full cancellation policy, including emergencies, here.

Do you offer referral bonuses or credits?

Yes! We're very happy to offer $50 in referral credit for every new family that completes at least 3 lessons or purchases bulk hours. If a family has multiple students, then you'll get $50 per student (up to 3 students*) who takes lessons with Algebrility. The credit will be applied to your next invoice and not as a refund or credit towards previous invoices.

*For example, if a family of 4 students takes lessons with Algebrility, then the maximum referral credit you will receive is $150. 

Do unused hours from one school year roll over to the next school year?

Absolutely!
